Spaceflight Industries Gets $20M

Seattle-based Spaceflight Industries, the space startup which helps deliver small satellites into space, said today that it has raised $20M in a Series B funding. The company, which is headed by Jason Andrews, said the new funding was led by RRE Ventures and Vulcan Capital, with participation of Razor's Edge Ventures. Spaceflight Industries runs Andrews Space and Spaceflight Services, two local Seattle companies which help connect small satellite payloads with launch providers. Spaceflight aid the funds bring its total raised to $27.5M. Other investors in the company include Chugach Alaska Corporation and Apogee.
