    Spiration Raises $18.5M


    Redmond-based Spiration said today that it has raised $18.5M in a Series G funding round. The round was led by Versant Ventures, and also included Olympus Medical Systems Corp., New Enterprise Associates, New Leaf Venture Partners (Sprout Group), InterWest Partners, Investor Growth Capital and Three Arch Partners. All of the firms were previously investors in the firm. The funding brings the company's total to $97M. Spiration is developing medical devices used for treating patients with severe emphysema.
