    XenSource Taps Ignition For VP

Palo Alto-based XenSource reports that it has hired a new Senior Vice President of Product Operations, tapping Ignition Partner's Gordon Mangione for the position. Mangione was Ignition's Entrepreneur in Residence, and also has served at Microsoft where he headed its security products unit. The appointment comes on the heels of the firm's opening of a Seattle office and the inking of a joint-development deal with Microsoft. XenSource develops the Xen system virtualization software, used by enterprise IT shops to deploy multiple operating systems and servers on a single piece of hardware.
