    Lockdown Revs NAC Security Tools


    Seattle-based Lockdown Networks, which develops Network Access Control (NAC) devices for computer network security, said earlier this week that it has upgraded the firm's Lockdown Enforcer product. The upgraded software adds new features which allow guest users and devices to be self-registered, a feature requested by education institutions and others to allow certain guest computers onto a network. Lockdown also said it has simplified initial setup of its tool, added a number of testing features, and boosted the speed of its 2U appliance. Lockdown's products are used for computer network security, to prevent un-authorized network devices from connecting into enterprise and other networks. Lockdown Networks is venture backed by Cargill Ventures, Ignition Partners, Integral Capital Partners, and Intel Capital.
