    M:Metrics Acquired By comScore


    Seattle-based M:Metrics has been acquired by comScore, the Reston, Virginia-based provider of web traffic measurement and rankings, comScore said Wednesday afternoon. comScore said it would pay $44.3M in cash plus issue approximately 50,000 options for M:Metrics, which collected mobile Internet usage information and numbers. According to comScore, M:Metrics co-founder Will Hodgman and Seamus McAteer will join the firm's management team as part of the acquisition. M:Metrics was venture backed by i-Hatch Ventures and Prism Venture Partners. comScore said that it expects M:Metrics revenues for 2008 to be between $6.5 to $7M. M:Metrics, Inc. was represented by The Jordan, Edmiston Group, Inc. in the deal.
