Wishpot Debuts Baby Service for Expecting Parents

Seattle-based Wishpot Inc., operator of an online social shopping community, revealed Wednesday that it has added a new section to its Web site geared specifically for parents who are expecting. Wishpot said the new feature, called Wishpot Baby, offers parents the ability to shop for baby products anywhere—online or on foot—while consulting savvy "Mom Experts" who have gone through the child-rearing process and can recommend the best and most cost effective items. Wishpot also reported that it is partnering with TotSpot, an online social-networking service that enables parents to share pictures and videos of their children. Founded in 2006 by a pair of Microsoft veterans, Wishpot is a privately funded company.
