    Amazon Launches Music Database Site

Amazon.com has launched a new, wiki-style web site focused on helping users find information about bands, record companies, music releases, and more, the firm said Monday. According to the new site, SoundUnwound, the online service will allow music fans to see information about artists, discover similar artists, find new artists, and more. The new site will allow anyone on the site to edit any information on the page, in "wiki" style, although users who want to edit an entry are required to have an Amazon.com account. The site also taps information from IMDB, Amazon.com's online database of movies, which Amazon acquired in 1998.
