    Livemocha Claims 1 Million Members


    Seattle-based Livemocha, a startup which provides an online site for learning foreign languages, said today that the firm has reached 1 million members for its service. The firm claims that is is now the world's largest language learning community. Livemocha's site offers a site to help Internet users learn foreign languages, through online language lessons, connecting members with others to practice their language, and more. Livemocha also said it has added new peer-based reputation features to its site, which allows members to evaluate each other based on their contributions and language proficiency. The firm is backed by Maveron.
