 Wednesday, October 29, 2008 Earth Class Mail Gets Win In SwitzerlandSeattle-based Earth Class Mail has scored a win with the Swiss Post, saying late Tuesday that Switzerland's national postal operator will license and offer its products in Switzerland, France, Germany, Italy, and Austria. According to Earth Class Mail, the Swiss Post is piloting a service to allow anyone looking for a postal address in those countries to receive and manage their postal mail over the Internet. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. Earth Class Mail operates a service which scans and delivers postal mail to customers via the Internet. The firm said that the Swiss Post believes using its service will help it achieve cost savings, particularly by "drastically reducing" the fuel required for making physical deliveries.
