    Planar Sells Digital Signage Business


    Beaverton, Oregon-based Planar Systems said late Wednesday that it has sold certain assets of the firm's CoolSign digital signage business. According to Planar, it has signed a cash deal with Bally Gaming Inc. where Bally has acquired certain assets of the division for exclusive use within the gaming inudstry. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The deal closed November 14th. Planar said it will continue to offer CoolSign products and services, except for in the gaming market.
