Mixpo announced Wednesday that it has forged partnerships with five local media publishers with national footprints. According to the Seattle-based online video advertising software maker, its newest customers are NBC Local Media, Tribune, Freedom Communications, TownNews.com and Fisher Communications. Mixpo said each partner will integrate Mixpo;s VideoAd platform into their online advertising systems. Mixpo explained that the move will help them better monetize their display ad inventory and increase revenue. Founded in 2005, Mixpo has raised $6.5 million in venture financing from the Madrona Venture Group, the Working Opportunity Fund, Yaletown Venture Partners, SpringBank TechVentures and private investors.
