    Maveron Ventures Into Silicon Valley


    Seattle-based venture capital firm Maveron is in an expansion into the Bay Area, the firm announced this morning, saying it has opened up a new office San Francisco. According to Maveron, Partner Amy Errett is leading the new San Francisco office, which will also included a new principal, Ben Choi. Maveron's Errett said that the new office will focus on "identifying sectors where web-enabled services can disrupt and disintermediate the existing marketplace." Errett was previously CEO of travel site Olivia.com, and has also been at E*Trade and The Spectrem Group. Choi was most recently at Storm Ventures, and also had been at Greystripe, RRE Ventures, and In-Q-Tel.
