AOL Launches Action Sports Site With Portland Firm

AOL has launched a beta of a new, action sports site in conjunction with Portland-based Fusion Entertainment, AOL said yesterday. Lat34.com focuses on action sports, including skating, BMX, FMX, and is soon expanding to surfing and snowboarding. The web site currently includes news stories, video, photos, and profiles of athletes. The new web site will also allow users to upload their own action sports video, photos, and blogs. The new effort is a joing effort between AOL and Fusion Entertainment. Jeep has signed on as the charter advertiser for the site. Fusion Entertainment is a Portland, Oregon-based video production company focused on action sports programming, and supplies NBC, ESPN, and others with action sports and other programming.
