Farecast Expands Fare Forecasting Service

Seattle-based Farecast has added new cities to the company's service, saying today that it is now providing airfare predictions from 55 U.S. cities. The new cities expand the firm's services well beyond the original two cities, Boston and Seattle, that the company included in its beta. Farecast provides travelers with the ability to see possible trends in airfare, to help them to determine when to purchase airline tickets. The new cities include Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix, San Jose, and many other cities. Farecast is funded by Greylock Partners, Madrona Venture Group, and WRF Capital.
