Platial Upgrades Mapping Service

Portland, Oregon-based Platial has upgraded the firm's online map service, saying that it has enhanced its tools for adding content to the firm's maps. Platial now supports the Wordpress and Typepad blogging platforms, and access to information on Flickr, YouTube, and Yahoo! Local. Platial's web site allows users to create their own map mashups using Google Maps, without requiring development and coding. The firm is venture backed by KeyNote Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Omidyar Network, Ram Shriram, and others.
