GemStone, Rogue Wave Develop Joint Application

Software developers GemStone Systems and Rogue Wave Software announced Monday that they have jointly produced a business application that they said will allow customers to increase performance and scalability while lowering operating costs. The new tool combines GemStone's GemFire Enterprise Data Fabric with Rogue Wave's Hydra Suite. GemFire Enterprise pools memory and disk functions for Rogue Wav's Hydra, which helps speed application development and flexibility without taxing performance. Established in 1982, GemStone Systems is a privately held firm located in Beaverton, Ore. Rogue Wave Software, a division of Quovadx Inc., is headquartered in Boulder, Colo.
