RadiSys Announces Media Server, ATCA Blade

Hillsboro, Oregon-based RadiSys has announced two new products today, including a media server focused on IP audio and video processing, along with a digital signal processing blade for the Advanced Telecommunications Computing Architecture (ATCA) standard. The firm's Convedia Software Media Server provides software-based processing of IP audio and video, and is based on technology from Convedia, which the company acquired last year. The Media Server software is used for developing interactive voice response systems and other telecommunications systems. the firm's Promentum ATCA-9100 Media Resource Module is a blade targeted at telecommunications equipment manufacturers for providing VoIP, media processing, and media gateway functions. RadiSys is a developer of embedded software and hardware products for the telecommunications market.
