VirtenSys Raises $12M, Opens Beaverton HQ

VirtenSys Ltd., a provider of virtualization technology, said today that it has raised $12M in a Series B funding and opened up a U.S. headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. The firm, which is based in Manchester, U.K., said the funding came from Scottish Equity Partners, Celtic House Venture Partners, and GIMV. The funding will be used to expand its market and launch its products, in addition to growing its operations in both the U.S. and the U.K. Virtensys said it is developing I/O virtualization products for the data center market.
