SecondSpace Partners With Fisher Communications

Seattle-based broadcast media firm Fisher Communications revealed Monday that it has established a content partnership with SecondSpace Inc., an operator of online marketplaces for second homes and recreational retreats. Fisher said the agreement will grant its network of Web sites access to the world's largest online selection of vacation homes and property listings. As the first step, Fisher said it has already integrated more than 400,000 vacation home and resort property listings from SecondSpace's flagship ResortScape.com service into three of its virtual properties: Seattle's KOMONews.com; Portland, Ore.'s KATU.com and Bakersfield, Calif.'s BakersfieldNow.com. Fisher added that it intends to incorporate SecondSpace's vacation home and property listings into its entire suite of Web sites. Fisher Communicatons operates 13 full power and 8 low power television stations, plus 8 radio stations in the Northwest, including KOMO TV-ABC and KUNS TV Univision in Seattle, plus KOMO 1000 newsradio, KATU TV/ABC in Portland, and others. SecondSpace is headquartered in Bellevue.
