Getty Images, Time Launch Life.com

Seattle-based Getty Images has teamed with Time Inc. to launch a new web site, Life.com, the firms said this morning. According to the firms, the new site will offer access to new photographs from Getty Images' photographers, with images from the news, entertainment, sports, celebrities, travel, animals and other areas, as well as access to historic photos from LIFE. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed. According to the firms, LIFE.com will be jointly owned and operated by the firms. The companies said they will be adding more than 3,000 new images a day to the site, which will allow users to print photos, share photos with friends and family, and purchase photo albums.
