Abacast Buys Tukati

Camas, Washington-based Abacast, a provider of streaming media products, said Tuesday that it has acquired Kirkland, Washington-based Tukati, a provider of peer-to-peer-based streaming media services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Tukati provides real-time streaming of video, music, games, and software to companies through a hybrid CDN/P2P network approach. Abacast also offered similar hybrid CDN services to web publishers.
