Ontela Ships On Samsung

Seattle-based Ontela, provider of an embedded picture-saving service for camera phones, revealed Tuesday that its technology will be featured in Samsung's newest mobile device. Specifically, Ontela said, the Delve comes equipped with Alltel Pic Transfer, a white-label version of Ontela's camera phone picture-saving service that is provided to Alltel Wireless customers. To begin saving camera phone pictures, Ontela explained, Delve owners need only open the service and enter their e-mail address. Ontela noted that the service, which automatically uploads every mobile picture taken to a user's home computer, is free for the first 15 days but will cost $2.99 per month thereafter. Ontela is backed by Eastven Venture Partners and others.
