Alchemy Adds Reseller

Bend, Ore.-based Alchemy Solutions, a publisher of COBOL and other tools for Microsoft's .NET framework, revealed yesterday that it has signed a reseller agreement with Aithent Inc. According to Alchemy, Aithent will resell Alchemy's software across the United States and Canada. Alchemy explained that its software helps customers preserve and extend the life of their legacy mainframe systems by modernizing applications during the .NET migration process. Aithent is a full-service information technology consulting firm and a Microsoft Certified Partner. Its U.S. headquarters are located in New York City. Alchemy Solutions is a privately held company that was spun out of Fujitsu Computer Systems after a 2008 acquisition. Alchemy's products include a COBOL compiler based on Microsoft's .NET infrastructure, and other tools used to support legacy mainframe software code on Windows-based PCs and servers.
