F5 Upgrades File Virtualization Products

Seattle-based F5 Networks announced today that it has upgraded its ARX file virtualization system and related software, saying that the new product will allow organizations to better control their storage costs. The product is used for automated storage tiering and backup. In addition to the product upgrades, the firm said that it is launching a package to help attract small and medium-sized companies to the product. The firm said its "ARX Fast Start" package will be more cost effective for those users, but did not release pricing.
