Clearwire Links With Cisco

Kirkland, Washington-based WiMax network operator Clearwire Corporation announced this morning that it is in an alliance with Cisco. According to the two firms, Clearwire will use Cisco as its national core infrastructure provider, and Cisco will build mobile WiMAX devices for Clearwire's CLEAR 4G service. Financial terms of the alliance were not disclosed. The firms said that Clearwire is currently selecting and testing Cisco routers, firewalls, and other components for its infrastructure build out.
