Clearwire Selects Partners To Spanish Deployment

Kirkland-based Clearwire has selected its hardware partners for deployment of its WiMAX network in Spain, the firm said this morning. The firm said it has linked with Alvario and ZTE to provide network infrastructure for the firm, when it launches its WiMAX service in Spain in 2010. Alvarion will supply network infrastructure in Malaga, and ZTE will supply equipment in Seville for the network expansion. Clearwire said the Spanish service will be rolled out under the same CLEAR brand as it is using in the U.S.
