Geospiza Gets SBIR Grant

Seattle-based Geospiza, a developer of genetic analysis software, reported Wednesday morning that the firm has received a Phase I SBIR grant. The grant came from the National Human Genome Research Institute. Size of the grant was not disclosed. According to Geospiza, the grant project focuses on improving methods for detecting rare mutations that define cancer types and determine how a cancer cell may grow and respond to or resist treatment.
