Avnera Raises $8M
Beaverton, Oregon-based Avnera, a developer of wireless semiconductors, has raised $8M in a financing deal, according to a regulatory filing by the firm last week. No details on the funding have been announced by the company. The filing indicates the company is raising $10M in a equity funding round. Avnera's chips are used for wireless audio and voice-over-IP. The firm is venture backed by Altien Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Best Buy, DAG Ventures, Intel Capital, JAFCO Ventures, Panasonic Venture Group, Polycom, and Redpoint Ventures.
