Redbox Extends Paramount Deal

Redbox, the retail DVD kiosk rental subsidiary of Bellevue's Coinstar, has extended a deal with Paramount Home Entertainment, the two said today. According to Paramount and Redbox, they will continue their trial relationship through at least June 30, 2010. Paramount said in a statement that the business relationship during the trial has "been encouraging." Redbox charges $1-per-night for its DVD rentals, and the deal with Paramount gives Redbox better access to Paramount titles on the day of DVD release.
