Tyfone Wins First Data

Portland-based Tyfone, a developer of mobile, contactless payment products, has signed electronic commerce and payment processing firm First Data as a customer. According to First Data, it is in an agreement with Tyfone to implement Tyfone's SideTap MicroSD memory card technology. Tyfone recently announced a MicroSD card which also integrates its mobile payment hardware, making it easier to implement its contactless payment technology in existing mobile phone models. Financial details of the win were not disclosed.
