Mirina Gets Funding

Seattle-based Mirina Corporation, a biotechnology firm focused on microRNA therapeutics, said today that it has closed on a Series A-1 financing. Size of the round was not disclosed. According to Mirina, the round was led by versant Ventures, and also included prior investors Alexandria Real Estate Equities, ARCH Venture Partners, OVP Venture Partners and WRF Capital. Versant's Brian Atwood joins the company's board along with the funding. Mirina is a spinout of Accelerator Corporation. More information »
