Barnes & Noble Looks For Buyer

Amazon.com competitor, and retail bookseller Barnes & Noble said Tuesday afternoon that it is looking towards a possible sale of the firm, and is evaluating "strategic alternatives," saying it believes the firm is "significantly undervalued" based on its stock price on the market. The firm said it will consider "all alternatives" to increase its stockholder value. Barnes & Noble has been locked in a battle against Amazon.com on multiple fronts, fighting against Amazon's pricing and selection, as well as Amazon's push towards digital books and electronic book readers like the Kindle.
