Isilon Wins Sony Imageworks

Seattle-based data storage dveloper Isilon reported Wednesday that it has signed up Sony Imageworks, the visual effects studio behind Alice in Wonderland and Spider-Man. The firm said that Sony Imageworks has deployed Isilon's storage products as part of its post-production pipeline. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. Isilon said Sony Imageworks is using its X-Series products, to consolidate a range of file-based applications to a single file system. Imageworks provides visual effects to Hollywood films, including 2012, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Alice in Wonderland, and other titles.
