Internap Expands in Seattle

Internet hosting and colocation firm Internap, which is based in Atlanta, said today that it is kicking off a expansion of its Seattle area data center. According to the firm, it is opening up a 7,500 square foot expansion of its colocation facility in Tukwila, in the Sabey Intergate campus. The firm said the expansion comes to support market momentum in the area. Internap has had facilities in Seattle since 1996, and is the third data center in the market. The company said the expansion comes due to increased demand from its customers, including e-commerce, financial services and online retailers.
