Trio Of Local Firms Power Toyota Entune

A trio of local companies are behind Toyota's launch of its Entune system, the firm's in-vehicle navigation system. Toyota, which unveiled Entune yesterday at CES in Las Vegas, is using Microsoft search engine Bing, traffic information from Inrix, and in-dash display technology from UIEvolution as part of the system. Toyota is using Bing for Mobile as a featured app of Entune, allowing users to search Bing via their dashboard or voice recognition. The firm also selected Inrix to provide real-time traffic information, and has tapped UIEvolution's UIEngine software to deliver those applications to in-dash display screens.
