Google Takes On Amazon's Music Locker

Search engine giant Google has launched a direct competitor to Amazon.com's Amazon Cloud Drive service, saying Tuesday that it has launched its own music locker service, Music Beta By Google. Amazon launched its music locker service in March. Unlike Amazon, Google's current service is free, and will store up to 20,000 songs; Amazon's storage plans start at $20 a year for 20GB of storage for music files, although the firm does provide some storage with MP3 purchases from the site.
