Classmates Sued By Memory Lane

Renton, Washington-based Classmates International, which in the last few months has been rebranding itself as Memory Lane, has been sued by Memory Lane Inc., a vintage sports cards and collectibles firm, over the "Memory Lane" trademark. The lawsuit was filed in the California Central District Court (Memory Lane Inc v. Classmates International Inc et al) on Thursday. Memory Lane Inc. alleges "false designation of origin and unfair competition" over the use of "Memory Lane" by Classmates International. Classmates is a unit of United Online.
