Redfin Adds Short Sales Purchases

Seattle-based Redfin said Thursday afternoon that it will begin helping real estate buyers purchase short sales, via its agents. The company said that, in addition to allowing prospective buyers to tour short sales, it will also help complete the purchase, although Redfin said it would alter the refund for those sales to 15% of its commission. Redfin said the difference in refund is due to both the extra time and legwork required for short saves versus a regular real estate transaction.
