Smith & Tinker Launches Whirleo

Seattle-based Smith & Tinker, the venture backed, mobile game startup, said this morning that it has released a new app, called Whirleo. The firm said the game, which is now in the Apple App Store, is an environmentally-focused game focused on a group of pollution-cleaning spinning tops. The company said that 1 percent of the game proceeds will go to a network of environmental organizations. The game includes 7 free levels, with an additional set of levels costing 99 cents. Smith & Tinker is venture backed by DCM, Alsop Louie Partners, Foundry Group, Leo Capital Holdings and Vulcan Capital.
