Itron Deploys In Australia

Liberty Lake, Washington-based Itron, the maker of smart utility meters, said today that it landed a deal in Australia. The firm said it has been chosen by the Cairns Regional Council to deploy smart water meters in Port Douglas, a tourist town in Far North Queensland. Financial details of the win were not disclosed, and Itron did not say how many meters are being installed in the location.
