Elemental Targets Sports In New Partnership

Elemental Technologies, the Portland-based video encoding products developer, is targeting the sports video market with a new partnership, the firm said today. The company said it has partnered with deltatre, a provider of digital media, production and technology solutions to major sports federations and broadcasters, to offer up a turnkey digital video solution specifically aimed at sports rights-holders and broadcasters worldwide. The two said they have linked Elemental's video procesisng systems with deltatre's Diva platform, a product used by broadcasters to mange multiple video feeds for sports. Elemental's hardware is being used for adaptive bit rate encoding of the video workflow.
