PlaceFull Gets $1M For Online Party, Event Booking Service

Seattle-based Placefull has raised $1M to expand its online, party and event planning service. The startup--headed by Ryan Hamlin and George Webb, two former Microsoft executives--did not disclose the source of the funding, only saying it came from several angel investors in the Seattle area. Placefull's online site helps consumers book things like children's parties and other events with local businesses. Placefull said that the new funding will go towards its expansion into new markets, plus towards its private label product, which lets businesses embed online booking into their own websites.
