Janrain Powers Google+ Sign-Ins

In a big deal for Portland-based single sign-on software developer Janrain, the firm has been tapped by Google to help add Google+ sign-in to applications and websites. Google said that both Janrain and Gigya have added Google+ Sign-In as part of their product suites, which makes it easier for developers to add Google+ authentication to their apps and sites.

Janrain's single sign-in software is used by companies to manage registration and online login across multiple applications and websites; the new deal now allows users to authenticate using their existing, Google credentials. Financial details of the deal were not announced. Google said that Janrain's support lets users now sign into such sites as NPR, HSN, and hundreds of sites from Universal Music Group (including ladygaga.com, justinbiebermusic.com, imaginedragonsmusic.com, eminem.com, and others) using Google+.
