Microsoft's Skype To Block Calls In India

Skype, the peer-to-peer calling service owned by Microsoft, told its customers in India over the weekend that it will begin blocking calls to phones in India, if users are based in that country. The company did not say why it will make the move, but it appears to be related to laws in that country about offering phone service to landline and mobile phones. Skype said it will continue to allow users in India to call internationally, and also let users from India call to landline and mobile phones in India while traveling outside of the country.
