FlightCar Expands To Sea-Tac

Peer to peer car sharing startup FlightCar said this morning that it has expanded into the Seattle area, and has started offering up its service at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). The startup--which currently offers services in Boston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco--lets customers drop their cars off for free, airport parking, and shares in car rental fees when someone rents their car from the airport. The company cleans the car, covers the car with insurance, and screens people renting cars, and pays owners depending on the mileage driven by the renter. The company is venture backed by GGV Capital, General Catalyst Partners, Airbnb Co-Founder Brian Chesky, and Ryan Seacrest.
