Bill Gates Demonstrates Raw Sewage-to-Drinking Water Device

Need to demonstrate how much faith you have in one of your technology startups? Bill Gates has done so--in stunning manner--by drinking a glass of water, which only five minutes before was raw human sewage. The waste was transformed into drinking water by one of the startups funded by the Melinda and Bill Gates Foundation. Gates' startup--Janicki Bioenergy--is developing a system which converts raw, human sewage into pure water and energy, targeted at poor and developing nations who don't have the infrastructure for traditional waste treatment plants.
