ESI Swizzles Board

Portland-based Electro Scientific Industries has swizzled its board, saying today that it has two directors retiring from the firm. The company said that Richard Faubert and Barry Harmon are both retiring from its board, following former Chairman Jon Tomkins, who retired earlier due to age limits in the company's corporate governance guidelines. ESI said it has nominated John Medica (Vice Chairman of Compal Electronics, formerly at Apple and Dell); Ray Link (former of FEI); and Laurence Cramer (President of Continuum Electro-Optics) to the board to replace all three. ESI said Faubert, Harmon, and Tomkins had a collective 40 years serving the company. Tomkins is 74.
