Porch: We Now Guarantee Our Referrals

Seattle-based home service and remodeling startup Porch said this morning that it will now guarantee the quality of work of the contractors it refers through its website. According to Porch, its new Porch Guarantee will guarantee the quality of work of pre-screened and background-checked professionals on the site. Porch said it is initially offering up the guarantee in 28 markets, covering 10 professional service types, with a plan to extend the service to more cities and services in 2016. Porch says it has driven more than $1.88 in potential new business to over 100,0000 home improvement professionals. Porch is venture backed by Valor Equity Partners, Lowe's Companies, Founders Fund, Battery Ventures, Panorama Point Partners, Capricorn Investment Group, Ty Pennington, and others.
