Itron Targets EMEA With New Partners

Liberty Lake, Washington-based smart meter maker Itron said today that it is expanding the reach of its technology in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), through the addition of three new suppliers in the region. Itron said it has added partners Kapsch BusinessCom and Kapsh Smart Energy in Austria, along with Schrack Technik Energie in cooperation with EMH Metering, Kamstrup and Wasion Group Ltd. The company said the deals cover providing its radio frequency (RF) and power line carrier (PLC) teology in the EMEA to utilities.
