DreamBox Learning Touts Harvard Study

Bellevue-based Dreambox Learning, the developer of personalized, adaptive learning software for teaching math, said a study by Harvard University shows that its software significantly improved performance on math assessments, even after as little as 14 hours of usage. The company said the research study was conducted by the Center for Education Policy Research (CEPR) at Harvard University, comparing student performance with and without its software on the NWEA MAP and PARCC Assessments. DreamBox said the study included 3,000 students in Grades 3-5, at the Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) in Maryland and Rocketship Education in California. Dreambox said students improved nearly 4 percentile points on NWEA MAP assessments after those 14 hours.
